Getting Through Tough Times

Exodus 3

Hearing from God in a crisis is essential. In Genesis, God said, "Let there be light, and there was light." In your crisis, speak light into your darkness.

What is God saying? Some of you are asking, "Does God speak?" Are the people that say that God is speaking to them crazy? Or is God really speaking to them? We know that at any moment, God can speak light into your situation. When He speaks, there is peace, confidence, and clarity. In crisis, in transition, or in lonely moments, you need to know His will. You want to hear from God! When God speaks, you go from panic to peace.

In this message, Pastor Denny speaks on the life and trials of Moses. In Exodus 3, an angel of the Lord appears to Moses in flames of fire from within a bush. God speaks to Moses in a mighty and powerful way in a critical season of His people.

When God spoke, it was unique to that individual. God wants our experience with Him, and His voice, to be personal to us. He wants us to trust in the promise, not the process! He wants us to live by faith, not formulas.

When God spoke, the person was sure God was speaking! Knowing someone's voice comes from being in close relationship with them. John 10:3-5 says "The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.”

Finally, when God speaks, the person knows what God has said. God’s word brings clarity! When God speaks, He challenges you to move to another level. Imagine a field full of landmines. If someone were to tell you to cross them, what would you do? What if that person knew exactly where every one of them was buried and offered to take you through it? We would stay as close to that person as we could. His directions to us would be LIFE! The purpose of God’s Word is to have life and have it abundantly.
