For Such a Time As This (Part 2)

Jun 14, 2020    Pastor Denny Curran    #forsuchatimeasthis Esther 4:12-14

"When Esther's words were reported to Mordecai, he sent back this answer: “Do not think that because you are in the king's house you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?” - Esther 4:12-14 (NIV)

God has called us to such a time as this. As believers, we are here by design. We have a calling. We have a purpose. We have a destiny! What are we called to do this this season? How can we best reflect Christ in this time? In this place? We need a deep time of prayer! We need to be praying prayers of repentance, prejudice, heat, anger, indifference, apathy, and injustice. We need to repent! What's happening in our world today has caused a great divide in our country.

We have forgotten who our enemy is. We need to identify the enemy! We cannot win a war until we identify our enemy. Ephesians 6 tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, we must put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground. Division is of the Devil. He is using it to destroy our nation and our churches!

We need to love others. We are called to love all people. We need each other in this season. Where there is unity, God commands His blessing.

God has called us to SUCH A TIME AS THIS. The enemy wants you to question God's Word. He wants you to fear the Holy Spirit. He wants you to be at odds with one another. If we are going to reflect the love of Christ, let us use this season as an effort to reach lost people! Our influence must grow, not diminish.

"Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” -
Jeremiah 29:7 (NIV)

Join us as a church as we continue our 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting. Let us walk this season together by loving one another and praying together.
