Tune In
As our pastor shared last week, the church is not meant to be confined to four walls, nor it is just brick and mortar. The Church is YOU! So, as a believer in a time of pandemic, how do we build the believer, our faith, and our church?
In the future years to come, when you think back at this season of life, what will you say? What will you kids/spouse/friends/family say of you? Will you look back and remember the fear, doubt, and pain, and see it as a loss? Or, will you look back and see a season of exponential grow where you found your foundation, renewed purpose, and relationship in God? The choice is ours.
Ep 5:15-17 says "Be careful, then how you live - not as unwise but as wise. Making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is." In this passage, Paul is urging us to redeem the time, or we may resort to using it for what most people do, which is evil. We believe that in this season, now more than ever, we can use this time to tune into God's voice for the sake of your life, your family, your future, and your relationship with Him.
So how do we tune into God's voice? We dive into the Word of God. When we TUNE INTO His Word and immediately put it into action, we can change the course of our future to follow God's will for our lives. As Pastor Kyle preaches from his boat, he uses the analogy of an anchor. An anchor doesn’t serve its purpose until it goes beneath the surface. The same is true in our relationship with God. We will see purpose, guidance, direction, hope, etc. when our anchor isn’t "in the boat," but goes beneath the surface.
Tune into God's word and let it sink beneath the surface! Drop the anchor and tune into His voice. We want to encourage you to find what works for you! Take this opportunity, in this season, to take back the time and redeem your relationship with God, for your sake, and for the sake of those around you.
